Gretchen McGee, MD, joins CHC/OK Bartlesville Clinic

Gretchen McGee, MD

The CHC/OK medical clinic located at 1223 Swan Drive welcomes Gretchen McGee, MD, to its staff. Dr. McGee is a family medicine doctor with a special interest in obstetrics and women’s health.

Dr. McGee, board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine, provides primary care for minor illnesses and injuries, preventive health screenings, prenatal and postnatal care, routine check-ups, and vaccination for patients of every age and stage of life. Appointments can be requested by calling 918-214-8081.

“I have always felt like obstetric care ties together the circle of family medicine,” Dr. McGee said. “You get to see the whole family through an important phase in their life, and it’s really special.”

As a child, Dr. McGee had her career all planned out. She was going to go to Harvard Law School and become a lawyer — that was until she job-shadowed a pediatrician.

“It was the best day of my life,” she says. “I always wanted to be a doctor since then.”

Dr. McGee grew up in Northeast Ohio and studied at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. The trees and hills of Oklahoma felt like home, and she started a family in Oklahoma with her husband, Levi, who is from western Oklahoma. They have a three-year-old son, Jack.

When she’s not working, she spends time with her family. They raise chickens and will soon add a bee colony. Dr. McGee also gardens, and she cans and pickles food. She also enjoys yoga and Pilates.

The CHC/OK Bartlesville Clinic is an affiliate of the Community Health Center of Southeast Kansas (CHC/SEK). The health center ensures access for underserved, underinsured, and uninsured patients by providing high-quality, affordable primary and preventive medical, dental, and mental health care to more than 64,000 individuals annually throughout the region, regardless of their ability to pay.
